Job Description:
The Automation Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for managing the automation maintenance function at Edenderry Power Plant, ensuring maximum plant availability, efficiency, and safe systems of work.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ensure maintenance plans and targets are achieved safely, economically, and within environmental limits.
* Carry out maintenance functions under site-specific safety rules.
* Prepare method statements and risk assessments for specific tasks.
* Record and analyze equipment maintenance history to maximize asset availability.
Technical Requirements:
* Modify Distributed Control System (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) automation systems as required.
* Assist in compliance with Operation Technology (OT) systems and NIS2 directive.
* Install new instruments and carry out modifications to control systems.
Leadership and Management:
* Manage the automation maintenance team and relevant contractors.
* Liaise with other Plant teams to achieve objectives.
* Lead and Performance Manage direct reports.
Requirements:
* Third-level engineering qualification and/or relevant process experience.
* Minimum 3-4 years experience in a similar role.
* Experience in Maintenance of heavy process industry or power plants.
* Excellent IT skills, with a strong knowledge of Maintenance Management systems.
