We are currently recruiting for a Stores Assistant to join our Stores team at Dublin’s Leading Castle Hotel.

We are located just 10 minutes from the heart of Dublin City Centre and 5 miles from Dublin Airport, tucked away in a tranquil setting, surrounded by fabulous golf courses and the sounds of lapping waters from the Irish Sea.
The Role
To ensure the day-to-day operations are carried out in line with department and Hotel standards. To carry out duties in accordance with statutory, health and safety requirements. Receiving and requisitioning of all food and beverage items within the hotel. To help take responsibility for the control of the stores within Clontarf Castle Hotel.
Primary duties and responsibilities
* To perform all tasks listed to a highly professional standard.
* Help operate the Procur Wizard product management system for the purpose of receiving, ordering and recording of purchases with the guidance of the Manager/Assistant Stores Manager.
* Control and operate a cellar ledger system.
* Carry out F & B and miscellaneous stock takes twice monthly.
* Receive, sort, and approve all deliveries.
* Check deliveries against purchase orders & delivery dockets.
* Inspect the quality, temperature & condition of perishable goods.
* Verify all items meet hotel standards (correct items, no damage or spoilage).
* Record any shortages, overages or discrepancies and report to Manager or Executive Head Chef/Head Chef.
* Unpack and properly store items in fridges, freezes, dry stores, etc. FIFO (First In, First Out).
* Rotate stock regularly to minimize waste.
* Maintain accurate records of stock levels and deliveries.
* Process incoming requisitions and issues/distribute supplies for internal use.
* Keep the receiving and storage areas clean and organized.
* Follow all food safety & hygiene regulations (eg. HACCP).
* Ensure proper handling and storage of all food items to prevent contamination.
* To carry out any other reasonable request by management.
The Person
* Experience in working in previous 4/5* Star Hotel in Stores, stock control or hospitality is desired but not essential.
* Willingness to learn.
* Attention to detail.
