Marketplace Merchant Onboarding Lead

We equip our stores, people, and business with everything needed to help customers create a home they'll love from our Southampton Store Support office (SSO).
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will support the onboarding & incubation of new merchants and accelerate their success on B&Q Marketplace.
1. Develop an integration approach focusing on automation and scalability, engaging with merchant technical teams to understand existing eCommerce systems and recommend integration solutions.
2. Train merchants in B&Q Marketplace best practices, including optimization, SLAs, and reporting, providing first-line support during onboarding and handling queries related to CSV, SFTP/HTTP, and API technologies.
3. Closely work with merchants to drive early sales growth by enhancing content quality, increasing inventory, and improving product visibility through promotions after launch.
4. Monitor merchant compliance with SLAs and guide them to meet standards, facilitating the seamless transition to Account Management upon successful incubation.
5. Contribute to creating and managing merchant training materials.
6. Ensure the long-term success for both B&Q and our merchants.
Requirements
Work Experience:
1. Substantial experience working in Marketplace, Ecommerce, or Digital Platforms.
2. Familiarity with how marketplaces and merchants operate.
3. Experience bringing clients onboard and facilitating their growth on digital platforms.
5. Previous work in a scale-up business is advantageous.
Skillset:
1. Excellent skills in managing merchants and solving problems logically.
2. Persuasive written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to Director-level audiences.
3. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.
4. Maintain a can-do attitude and take initiative.
5. Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving e-commerce environment.
