Job Description:
As an Associate – Structures, you will be working on the delivery of major structural projects with responsibility for technical, managerial and commercial aspects. You will report to the Senior Management Team and provide leadership to project teams.
Candidate Specification:
* Minimum 10 years postgraduate experience in engineering consultancy.
* Chartered Status with Engineers Ireland/IStructE.
* Excellent track record in delivery of projects including design, people management, project costing, budgeting, contract documentation, programming, chairing meetings, project management, site monitoring for compliance, contributing to handover of completed projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Apply engineering principles and codes of practice to solve technical problems.
* Provide robust and economical solutions in concrete, steel, timber, masonry etc.
* Develop strong IT skills including structural design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, SCIA, TEDDS suite, CADS suite, STRAP, REVIT + AutoCAD skills.
* Utilize Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project effectively.
* Exhibit independent judgement in application of engineering science and knowledge including complex design, construction and management.
Leadership Skills:
* Plan, manage and direct human, material and financial resources required to solve complex problems in multi-disciplinary teams.
* Develop technical, commercial and management skills of staff through mentoring, delegation and training.
* Inspire and motivate staff through leadership, mutual respect, honest communication and hard work.
