Job Description:
The Business Development Manager will work collaboratively with the team to research, identify and qualify potential leads, business opportunities, and customer needs through various research tools, industry networking, pre-qualifying sales leads and developing sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Continually update CRM and forecast lists
* Review RFQs and clarify customer requirements
* Write proposals
* Prepare and present technical and sales presentations
* Prepare commercial offers and order acceptance documents
* Negotiate contracts
* Participate in phase gate and handover meetings
* Maintain client contact and manage expectations
Requirements:
The ideal candidate would have 5+ years of proven experience in selling integrated custom engineered process systems within the dairy industry. A degree in Engineering (e.g., Chemical or Mechanical) or similar experience is required for this role.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Customer-focused mindset with a passion for solving complex problems and delivering value to customers
* Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment
* Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and objectives
* Working knowledge of MS Office products
* Current full clean driving license
