We are currently recruiting for a Merchandising Analyst to join our team.
You will work to support our Merchandising Managers and Merchandising Director on providing key insights into initiatives and trials to assess their success. You will use your experience to deep dive into data and processes, providing valuable insights to support the delivery of strategic projects / Merchandising Initiatives and boost our customers' experiences with Aldi. You'll need to keep calm under pressure, have a passion for analysing complex information, and have excellent communication and organisational skills.
In true Aldi style, you'll have plenty of freedom to use your initiative and drive change in order to make the department even more efficient. Our Merchandising Analyst is seen as a key contact for the rest of the business, particularly our Buying and Stores teams.
We'll need you to be a confident communicator, ready to provide fantastic Merchandising support and knowledgeable advice on how our products should be displayed.
You'll enjoy the level of exposure that this role offers: a chance to see how every product, and its display, impacts upon sales and enhances the customer experience. Your New Role: Provide analysis on Merchandising plans in line with the Merchandising Review calendar, working cross functionally with buying and operations.Analyse whether Merchandising layouts are profitable, operationally efficient, customer focused and appropriate in terms of product mix, layout and the trading environment of our stores.Review, implement and supervise department processes.Maintain a fixture dashboard which is critical to both the Merchandising Department and Store Operations as it determines which planograms are assigned to stores, meaning accuracy is key.Handle and understand data, both internal and from external providers.Carry out space utilisation analysis on an ongoing basis to develop category and store level sales.
Make suggestions for improvements.Maintain the store planogram folders, ensuring they are up to date at all times.Conduct store visits where necessary, including visiting competitors stores and provide suggestions on how ALDI can enhance Merchandising layouts.Deal with day-to-day activities arising within the Merchandising department.Ensure that a polite and professional manner is maintained in all internal/external communications.Contribute positively and constructively to the merchandising team.About You: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team - ability to build strong successful working relationships cross functionally.Excellent attention to detail with a confident open-minded approach.Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, with the ability to crunch and analyse data quickly and effectivelyStrong communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
You will be required to provide data and analysis regularly to the senior leadership team.High analytical and commercially aware.Excellent organisation, time and diary management with the ability to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of work.Ideally work experience in a retail Head Office Space and range planning role or having dealt with planograms on the shop floor.A willingness to learn new systems and processes e.g.
