Quality and Safety Advisor
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality and Safety Advisor to join our team at Saint John of God Community Services.
About the Role:
This is a full-time permanent position that involves providing supports on all matters related to quality and safety activities, practice improvement, and compliance with regulations and standards within the organisation.
Main Responsibilities:
* Carry out audits in residential and respite designated centres on behalf of the registered provider across all regions.
* Prepare written reports on the safety and quality of care and support provided in the locations.
* Provide expertise, advice, training and support to assist in the implementation of an organisation wide Quality and Safety framework.
Requirements:
* An appropriate third level qualification in health or social care (equivalent to QQI Level 7).
* A minimum of two years experience in the health/social care setting, with knowledge in the area of intellectual disability.
* Excellent knowledge and a proven track record in delivering Person Centred Services in line with best practices, which meet a high quality and safety standard.
* Excellent IT skills: Microsoft Office with a particular focus on Microsoft Excel.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience in mental health services.
Key Skills:
* HIQA/MHC regulations.
* HIQA national standards.
* Mental Health Commission regulatory compliance.
