Job Description
The purpose of this job is to provide laboratory support to the client’s Process Science team under the customer quality system, using customer company procedures, and while adhering to Eurofins general policies and standards.
* Supporting cell culture and downstream purification projects including set-up of equipment and material preparation
* Bioreactor preparation, media/feed/buffer make-ups, probe/equipment calibration and organization
* Build bioreactors and complete bioreactor sampling
* Responsible for sample submission in line with site guidelines and procedures
* Maintaining laboratory equipment by performing checks (i.e. calibrations, reagent replenishment) and organizing performance maintenance or services as required in conjunction with laboratory staff and project schedules
* Maintaining laboratory stocks regularly to ensure supply is maintained
* Clean laboratory equipment, including biosafety cabinets, incubators, fume hoods, water baths, freezers, and fridges on a periodic basis
* Responsible for providing general assistance in laboratories
* Completion of training records, ensuring that all records presented for review and approval are at the appropriate standard
* Providing training to other team members as instructed by Lead, ensuring all training delivered is documented appropriately
* Produce and maintain accurate records in accordance with site guidelines, ensuring all required documentation and logbooks are completed on time, accurately and legibly
* Responsible for adhering to all company standards in the areas of safety, housekeeping and quality, notifying management of any discrepancies
* Ensuring that client requirements are fully met and being flexible to work in any area of the business as required by the client
Please Note Shift Work Is Required.
The current shift pattern on site for this role is the 12/7 pattern consisting of a 2 cycle shift (the 2 cycle shift will be one long week and one short week with 12 hour days 2pm-2am). Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday.
Qualifications
* Diploma/Degree in a relevant scientific discipline
* Minimum of 6 months-2 years relevant experience in a laboratory/GMP environment
* Good planning and organisational skills
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Good team player
* Strong IT skills
* Good communication skills both internally and externally
* Familiarity with pharmaceutical and/or laboratory operations (GMP, Documentation, Autoclaves, Sample Management)
