Job Description
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial processes and reporting for Glanbia Nutritionals Ireland. They will be responsible for providing timely, accurate, and relevant information to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting: Accurate preparation and submission of monthly and year-end financial and management accounts and reporting packs to Group and Senior Management.
* Team Support: Manage and provide support to Accounting & Finance Associate (Direct report).
* Business Analysis: Provide analysis and supporting information to assist management teams in understanding business performance and decision making.
* Control Procedures: Ensure that required accounting control procedures are in place and effective, including balance sheet reconciliation in line with Glanbia procedures.
* Inventory Reconciliation: Manage and review monthly inventory reconciliations and liaise with relevant BU stakeholders.
* Cash Forecasts: Review weekly cash forecasts for the business unit.
* Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance and improve controls, systems, and processes in line with evolving business needs.
* Statutory Reporting: Responsible for providing information for statutory reporting, external audit, and tax compliance.
* Budget and Forecasting: Play a leading role in the budget and forecasting cycles for the business with associated reporting and controls.
* Financial Process Improvement: Support financial process and systems improvement activity ensuring all Glanbia financial planning and reporting processes are optimized and aligned with overall reporting structure.
Requirements:
* Professional Qualification: Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA/ACMA).
* Experience: Qualified accountant with 3-5 years post-qualification experience ideally in a multinational organization or medium to large practice.
* Skills: Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, experience of ERP systems, SAP & Data Warehousing platforms (or similar) and report design would be an advantage.
