We have an exciting and challenging new role in our team for a Technical Sales Specialist to cover the Irish market. Lennox is recruiting for candidates with a scientific/ chemistry background (either a recent graduate or at mid-senior level) to work with our Key Supply Partners and better meet the needs of our customers.
Scope of role:
* To deliver sales target for our equipment product line working closely with the Area Business Managers and Internal Equipment Specialists.
* Visiting customer sites to engage in technical discussions on customers' equipment requirements and converting leads to sales.
* To provide account management support for our key accounts within the equipment product line.
* To identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts.
* To interact and coordinate with the Area Business Managers, Internal Specialists, and Business Support Specialist working on the same account.
* To support the establishing of sales budgets for the equipment product line.
* To prepare and complete sales forecasts for your product area as required.
* To analyse sales figures and implement appropriate actions where required.
* To maintain a high level of knowledge within our equipment portfolio and maintain a high level of knowledge of our key suppliers’ and our competitors’ offerings, so that you are considered an expert in your field becoming a valued advisor to our customer base.
* To support supplier relationship management.
* To attend meetings as and when required that may involve evenings and weekends.
* To record all customer interactions within our systems.
* To report via monthly sales meeting on product line performance against company targets.
* Identify and analyse potential strategic partner relationships for the company.
* To undertake any other duties that may be assigned to you, from time to time, in line with your experience and skills.
* Ensure work is performed in compliance with the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health & Safety requirements.
* Develop a clear understanding of and commitment to the vision and mission of Lennox.
* Understand and adhere to Lennox policies.
* Work with the Head of Sales and Business Manager to achieve the process objectives in line with the overall business strategy.
* Develop and maintain good working relationships with Sales, Technical Service and Business Support Specialist teams, all other relevant departments, suppliers, and customers.
To be successful in this role, you will have strong scientific skills as well as business capabilities. The requirements are as follows:
* Bachelor's degree in a Scientific or related field.
* Preferably, but not essential, 1-2 years experience in Sales/ Technical role.
* Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal and listening communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as a team.
* Ability to work without direct supervision and use initiative.
* Enthusiastic, driven and has the ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative.
* Willingness to undertake training and continuing professional development.
* Flexibility to work outside normal office hours if required.
