About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Site Engineer to join a 150-unit housing project in Midleton, Cork.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer with over 5 years of experience to play a key role in delivering a high-quality residential development.
The successful candidate will oversee site activities, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Site Engineering: Carry out setting out, leveling, and surveying on-site to ensure works align with project specifications.
* Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control processes to maintain high standards of workmanship.
* Project Coordination: Work closely with the Site Manager and project team to plan, execute, and monitor progress in line with project schedules.
* Health & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all site personnel.
* Technical Support: Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical submittals, providing advice to site teams as needed.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate site records, including as-built drawings, reports, and daily logs.
* Problem Solving: Address and resolve technical challenges on-site, escalating to the Site Manager as necessary.
Requirements:
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience as a Site Engineer, preferably on residential projects.
* Education: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in surveying equipment (e.g., Total Station, GPS) and construction management software such as Auto CAD.
* Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and standards.
* Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with site teams and stakeholders.
* Certifications: Valid Safe Pass and manual handling certificates are required.
