Customer Support Officer
This is a temporary, part-time position working 22.20 hours per week over three days.
The Role:
We are seeking a professional and flexible individual to provide high-quality internal and external customer service within our Organisational Development department.
Duties:
* Deal with service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
* Carry out all financial procedures including receiving and processing customer payments, completing reconciliation and daily reports.
* Operate the Council telephone switchboard and public address system.
* Receive and log all deliveries, including post.
* Act as a point of contact for customers to provide information on events, displays and exhibitions.
* Assist the Customer Services Manager and Customer Support Advisor to collect information about service problems and trends, and assist in producing performance reports.
The Person:
We are looking for an individual with the following background and experience:
* A minimum of 5 GCSEs to include English Language and Maths (grade C or above), or equivalent qualifications to demonstrate literacy and numeracy.
* At least one year's experience in a Customer Service role, including reception duties, cash handling, operating a till and handling customer enquiries by phone, email or live chat.
* Access to a suitable form of transport to enable the duties of the post to be carried out in full.
* Previous experience in a customer-facing role, including operating a customer management information system, would be desirable.
