Key responsibilities:
To ensure the reservations team deliver an effective and responsive guest focused reservations service.
To be fully knowledgeable in the operation, functionality and standards required in using the hotel systems – Opera Cloud and CRS (Windsurfer) in particular to ensure appropriate capture of data for client information, forecasts and results.
Manage operation of Opera in order to monitor occupancy, managing overbooking, tracking of promotional offers, denials, rate and inventory control.
Manage No-show and cancellation reservations & process charges according to hotel policy.
Audit all Opera input of Reservations to ensure accuracy of data
Track rate loading progress and ensure all rates are linked correctly to ensure data is populated To maintain an up-to-date demand calendar covering all citywide events.
Implement and drive daily activities including profile updates, changes to reservations, to increase accuracy and efficiency of information disseminated throughout the company.
Track sales programs/ promotions and provide feedback as necessary to relevant
To ensure strict chasing / follow up / contracting procedures are in place and adhered
To identify potential sales leads for the Corporate and Leisure sales teams to develop future
To lead the reservations team to improve their upselling skill to improve average room rate and overall yield
Conduct market research and analysis, ensuring market trends are monitored and
Audit and process travel agency commission and working with finance to ensure accurate monthly accruals of commissions are made.
To develop a good working relationship with both Corporate and Leisure accounts to encourage future loyalty and business
Attend corporate sales events/ show cases as relevant to build and maintain relationships with key
Leading, motivating and training the Reservations team in all aspects through direction and leadership
Actively develop team members’ skills and performance through coaching and training by setting clear goals and developing new ideas to improve organisational processes.
Ensure that all relevant system training is planned, completed and recorded as
Audit operating standards & procedures in the group department to ensure they comply with company
Ensure regular communication and meetings within the Reservation
Project related work as required.
