KNOW THE ROLE
To lead the Visual Merchandising team to ensure the company’s creative vision and strategy are consistently delivered.
* Walk all floors regularly to review standards in Windows, In-store visual areas, Mannequins, Vignettes and Merchandising. Report back to Creative Director re recommendations, and suggestions for approval and budgeting.
* Develop floor plans and merchandising schemes for all brands that will push sales while maintaining a high standard of luxury.
* Liaise with Creative Designer on a regular basis to ensure clear understanding of each window strategy.
* Oversee special creative projects, design and installation and ensure successful implementation within agreed timeframes and budgets.
* Liaise and collaborate with key leaders in Buying, Marketing and Design teams during brand refits, product launches, and special events.
* Work with the Design Team to develop creative, practical and commercial solutions across all types of store fit and new openings.
* Successfully manage, develop and lead a large team.
* Manage performance and conduct performance reviews with team to meet business objectives.
* Organise time tables, tasks assignments and work schedules for team.
* Interview and select new staff.
* To participate in the planning and implementation of Window Schemes and In-Store Displays.
* To lead weekly team meetings to ensure full understanding of the work schedule to be carried out.
* Build strong relationships with Store Management and Buyers through regular floor walks. Identify commercial opportunities and department performance. Work together to achieve actions.
* Key Creative Liaison for all logistics of moving props around store, warehouse etc.
* Lead the Visual Merchandising team in the set up for press days or events/launches.
KNOW WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* Professional, technical, academic or training qualifications required
* Have a strong artistic background with a knowledge of trends that keeps the business at the forefront in its creative offering.
* Minimum of 3 years experience in retail merchandising and or display essential.
* Experience in managing and leading a team preferable.
* Creative, enthusiastic and original thinker with a practical approach.
* Self confident and self motivated with excellent organizational skills.
* Able to take an idea from concept through to installation.
* Great influencing skills.
* An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, in all levels of business.
* Ahead of the competition both in creative and visual ideas and leading by example.
* Able to work successfully in a fast changing environment, redefining goals and priorities at very short notice.
