Vice President in Leveraged Finance Risk
At Barclays, you will be part of a dynamic team working on high-profile Leveraged Finance transactions. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, including front office, portfolio management, and senior risk colleagues, to assess and approve or decline credit applications based on established credit policies, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
About the Role
* You will manage a portfolio of existing clients to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory control, risk, and governance requirements.
* You will analyze lending applications, financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents to assess borrowers' creditworthiness and repayment capacity.
* You will evaluate the risk profile of each application, considering factors like industry trends, borrower financials, collateral, and market conditions.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze lending applications and provide independent credit decisions, adhering to established credit policies, risk parameters, and regulatory requirements.
* Develop and implement appropriate courses of action for troubled lending, including workout plans, restructuring, or collections.
* Advise key stakeholders on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
* Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to your team's work.
Requirements
* Proven credit skills with a strong understanding of Leveraged Finance.
* Robust analytical skills, including financial modeling, with the ability to flex from focusing on attention to detail to big-picture decision making.
* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts and ideas.
Working Conditions
This role is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and is deemed as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations.
The successful candidate will be required to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or meet internal company benchmarks.
Location
This role will be based in our Dublin, Ireland office.
$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
