About the Role:
We are seeking a creative and ambitious Junior Motion Graphic Designer to join our team as a paid intern. In this role, you’ll work closely with our production team and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create visually engaging and informative motion graphics. This internship offers a fantastic opportunity to learn, develop, and contribute to the creation of high-quality content in the realm of data literacy and beyond.
Responsibilities:
* Review and interpret course scripts to enhance and support visual storytelling.
* Plan, design, and implement motion graphics in alignment with Kubicle’s internal standards and production schedules.
* Collaborate with production stakeholders throughout the content creation cycle using internal communication channels.
* Propose ideas for production efficiency gains and explore new technologies to enhance workflows.
* Respond to constructive feedback and proactively address identified issues.
* Maintain an organized file system and ensure all files are stored in line with team guidelines.
* Adhere to Kubicle’s design schemes and brand guidelines to deliver consistent, high-quality visuals.
Qualifications:
* Basic proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator, with a willingness to develop advanced skills during the internship.
* Familiarity with creating or modifying production templates (e.g., MOGRT templates) is a plus.
* Demonstrated skills in 2D motion design, supported by a portfolio showcasing creative and technical abilities.
* Knowledge of 3D motion design is an advantage but not required.
* A good understanding of design fundamentals, flow, and dynamic motion in visual storytelling.
* Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and translate them into engaging visuals.
* Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to learning.
Preferred Skills:
* Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Motion Graphics, Graphic Design, Animation, or a related field.
* Previous experience or coursework in motion design or related fields is an advantage.
* Interest in eLearning, educational content, or informational design is a bonus.
Note:
Candidates reaching the final stage will be required to create a 1-minute motion graphic video based on a hypothetical project provided by our team. All necessary materials, including templates and assets, will be shared with candidates in advance.
