Job Description
We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join Nua Healthcare Services as a House Keeper. This role is responsible for maintaining the highest hygienic standards in our wards.
Main Responsibilities:
* To report any concerns for the safety of our service users and patients to your line manager or other manager within Nua.
* To act responsibly at all times and co-operate with our regulators in the best interests of our service and its users.
* To respect patients and their families, showing dignity, courtesy, and professionalism at all times.
* To assist in the provision of a quality service, working in line with national and locally devised policies and regulations.
* To maintain confidentiality of all information made available during work hours.
Additional Responsibilities:
* To ensure the ward environment is maintained to the highest hygienic standards.
* To complete day-to-day cleaning responsibilities as outlined in the role-specific key task list.
* To maintain a strict code of personal and general hygiene in the workplace, following schedules and existing policies and procedures.
* To carry out assigned and delegated responsibilities involving direct care and activities of daily living under supervision.
* To be responsible for the general cleaning of areas identified by the Supervisor, ensuring agreed standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained.
* To report any equipment faults to the Lead Housekeeping/Facilities Manager and ensure all equipment is stored safely.
Requirements:
* 1 year's previous experience in a similar role.
* Experience of/with people with additional and/or complex needs an advantage.
* The ability to adapt to new environments.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
* Ability to work on your own initiative.
* Ability to set high personal standards of performance and delivery of desired results.
