We are working on behalf of a leading building contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing projects and overseeing all financial aspects, from budgeting to cost control.
Responsibilities:
* Provide accurate cost advice and prepare cost plans for projects, from initial feasibility through to construction completion
* Manage and control project budgets, cost reporting and forecasting
* Prepare and manage subcontract packages, including procurement, valuations, payments and final accounts
* Manage and monitor project cash flow and work closely with the finance team
* Conduct regular site visits to ensure project costs are accurately recorded and reported
* Work closely with the project team to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of projects
* Assist in the preparation and submission of tenders, including pricing and estimating
Requirements:
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field
* Minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar role with building contractors.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Proficient in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel
* Full driving license and willingness to travel to project sites
