Turner Lovell has been appointed by a leading High Voltage and Medium Voltage engineering services company to source a Tendering Manager to join their team in Co Kildare. This is a long-standing business offering electrical design, installation, inspection, commissioning, and maintenance services for significant electrical infrastructure projects in Ireland, UK and Europe.
This is a key role in the business, managing the entire tendering process from initiation to conclusion. You will build and maintain relationships with key clients and ensure that Tender invitations are captured and recorded; while ensuring that the Tender Folders are maintained and that all relevant team members are informed.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Compile precise and well-organized submissions in a timely manner.
* Ensure all aspects of tenders, Technical, Financial and Contractual are submitted and processed on time, follow up on tenders and documents, and record any feedback.
* Issue tender queries and prepare tender reports.
* Lead tender risk reviews.
* Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Oversee the maintenance of the cost database.
* Build and maintain relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, etc.).
To be considered, you should hold a minimum of a Level 8 Degree in a relevant qualification, such as Electrical Engineering or Quantity Surveying, along with excellent project management and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail. You should have 10+ years' experience in a senior role in a MV / HV environment, with 5 of these years in a Commercial role. You should have spent a period of your career in either the Irish or UK market, and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of budgeting, cost management, and financial analysis.
