Role Purpose:
* An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Project Lead to support the execution of a portfolio of projects centred around infrastructure upgrades at our client’s busy biopharmaceutical facility.
* The experienced Project Lead will work with a multidisciplinary engineering team to plan and deliver projects on time and within budget.
* We are looking for an experienced individual who can hit the ground running and has delivered on significant projects within a highly regulated environment.
* Ideally, the candidate will have education/work experience and aspirations to develop clear skills and competencies around dealing with a live pharmaceutical production environment. The capital projects team is best in class in the execution of projects safely.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform procurement, acceptance of equipment, and associated infrastructure on behalf of the company and report regularly on project status throughout the project lifecycle.
* Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety codes, practices, approved project KPIs, performance standards, and specifications.
* Liaise with external and internal customers, suppliers, and vendors to define and deliver right-first-time project deployment.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey project goals, progress, and issues to stakeholders.
* Support other project participants to overcome obstacles when they present themselves.
* Responsible for delivering performance metrics for budget, schedule, scope, and quality adherence.
* A knowledge of Automation and Systems-related projects would be an advantage.
Education & Qualifications Required:
* Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or equivalent Engineering discipline.
* Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a project management role.
* Detailed knowledge of cGMP pharmaceutical environment.
* Exemplary communication, dedication, and a keen focus on delivering key success factors within the role.
* Ability to develop comprehensive project plans and schedules.
* Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
* Efficiently allocating resources including manpower, materials, and finances.
* Controlling costs and ensuring the project stays within budget.
* Ensuring the project is completed on time.
* Familiarity with the latest technology and tools used in project management and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
* Ability to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team.
* Managing and resolving conflicts within the team.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey project goals, progress, and issues to stakeholders.
* Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
* Making informed and timely decisions to keep the project on track.
* Building and maintaining relationships with all project stakeholders.
* Negotiating with contractors, suppliers, and other third parties to ensure project needs are met.
* Implementing and overseeing quality control measures.
* Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes.
