Fexco Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) is recruiting for a Financial Project Accountant.
About the Role
This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract for maternity leave cover. The role will be based in our offices in Killorglin, County Kerry, with flexibility to work a hybrid model.
Job Purpose
The role will support business growth in Fexco's P&FX business unit. You will gain first-hand experience in the payments industry, supporting the financial aspects of new business opportunities, business change and improvement, currency analysis, and system development.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver new projects as part of a Financial Projects team.
2. Develop a comprehensive understanding of Payments & FX products, particularly their financial aspects.
3. Work closely with internal functions, including business development teams, to articulate and support their understanding of the financial aspects of Payment & FX products and services.
4. Analyze and report on FX risk associated with relevant projects.
5. Review tax, compliance, and legal aspects of implementing new business across new regions and products, liaising with internal subject matter experts as required.
6. Support the Finance Operations team in operating new business in a BAU environment.
Competencies
* Project management/delivery experience is preferable.
* A qualified Accountant or working towards the same.
* A team worker with a pro-active, delivery-focused attitude.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to demonstrate creative/independent thinking.
* Understanding of FX risk management and payment processing is an advantage.
* Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with both internal and external audiences.
* Attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
