Project AccountantLocation: Any UK location or Cork, Republic of Ireland
Contract: Temporary – Until 31st December 2025
About the RoleWe are looking for a Project Accountant to join our team on a temporary basis, supporting financial reporting and analysis for a high-profile project based in Cork, Republic of Ireland.
You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial close processes, producing reports, and working closely with key stakeholders to support project performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesMonth-End & Financial Reporting Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial close.Prepare and review individual balances in trial balances with proper reconciliations.Produce month-end packs for Profit Centre Managers, MD, and FC/FD.Prepare payroll schedules and process journals as needed.Analyse and produce P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports with commentary.Assist with cash flow preparation and analysis.Prepare Trade Creditors and Trade Debtors analysis.Review Work in Progress (WIP), WIP reconciliation, accrued income, deferred income, and accrued costs.Support budget forecasting, audit tasks, and other ad-hoc finance duties.Journals & Intercompany Transactions Process or approve journals for project salary/resource costs, transport costs, and property costs.Prepare inter-company reconciliations and journals as required.Purchase Orders, Transactions & Invoicing Ensure POs are raised in line with the JV coding and reporting structure.Monitor GRN (Goods Received) and ensure invoices are processed within two months of GRN.Ensure invoices are raised and client billing is aligned with JV agreements.Project Reporting Produce monthly Project P&L updates (monthly, year-to-date, and since inception) for Enerveo and JV partners.Provide detailed profitability reports aligned with tender lines.Update project forecasts and cash flow projections.Perform monthly project reconciliations.Who You'll Work WithYou will collaborate closely with:

What We're Looking ForSkills & Experience Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.Experience with COINS system (desirable but not essential).Willingness to learn new software as required.Personal Attributes A team player with strong collaboration skills.Confident and able to hit the ground running.Flexible and able to deliver to tight deadlines.Qualifications Accountancy qualification required (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).Travel Occasional Travel to the Republic of Ireland, and to the Motherwell and Birmingham offices in the UK may be required.Additional InformationPlease note: This is a temporary role.
