Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a Critical Infrastructure Network Engineering Manager, you will oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of the network infrastructure for the organization. You will manage a team of network engineers, ensuring they have the necessary skills, tools, and resources to perform their tasks efficiently. You will also be involved in planning and implementing network security policies and procedures, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any network issues that may arise.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
* Significant technical experience in network design, development, and automation OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field AND technical experience in network design, development, and automation OR a Master’s Degree in the same fields AND technical experience OR a Doctorate Degree in the same fields.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include:
* Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Significant experience delivering network designs into production with live site accountability for a network.
* Experience with network authentication systems such as TACACS+ (Cisco ISE, Duo).
* Possession of Industry certifications within network Engineering CCNP or CCIE Route & Switch and work with industrial control systems.
Responsibilities
People Management and Support:
* Promote open information exchange, resolve intra- and inter-team issues, manage conflicts, and engage all stakeholders to meet mutual objectives.
Network Design and Implementation:
* Perform technical analysis and lead the design architecture of network plans for the enterprise, analyzing network & security requirements and architecting solutions that include highly available and resilient designs.
* Own and drive technical roadmap and strategy, collaborating with architects, engineers, and senior leaders.
Maintaining and Operating Networks:
* Monitor network system state in compliance with current capacity plan guidelines and budgets.
* Maintain standards and best practices for network toolset environments with a focus on Fault Management and Capacity/Performance Monitoring tools.
Project Management:
* Lead and manage network engineering projects from inception to completion using Agile methodologies.
* Oversee sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and manage timelines and budgets.
