Role Overview:
As Assistant Store Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the overall success of our store. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you will lead day-to-day operations, drive sales, provide exceptional customer service, and guide a team towards profitability and growth.
Responsibilities:
* Analyse sales and performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to the Store Manager.
* Train and empower the store team to deliver exceptional performance in product skills, customer service, CRM, VM, remote, and shop floor sales.
* Ensure all team payroll changes are communicated to HR.
* Support the Store Manager in managing staff rotas to ensure floor coverage and smooth store operations.
* Assist the Store Manager in administrative responsibilities, including sales reports, petty cash, shipping records, vendor records, and HR records.
* Build and maintain relationships with customers and engage in building customer loyalty.
* Assist the Store Manager in managing daily team briefings.
* Support Store Manager in team recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff.
* Oversee delivery of goods to ensure timely and efficient stock management.
* Support career growth by identifying potential paths and encouraging professional development, while continuously reviewing team performance.
* Address employee concerns, conflicts, and issues with a supportive and empathetic approach.
Qualifications:
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational and time management abilities with attention to detail.
* Knowledge of visual merchandising standards and inventory management.
* Ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions.
* Strong sales and customer service orientation, with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
