We are experiencing growth in new business opportunities and now require an Energy Engineer to support our Energy Auditing Department. The role involves conducting audits, completing energy calculations, and generating reports.
This individual will work on industrial and commercial building projects aimed at reducing energy consumption and enhancing sustainability. The position offers an opportunity to influence the company's growth and provides significant career advancement prospects.
Candidate Profile
* Comfortable interacting with senior levels within a business.
* Experience in a fast-paced service, construction, engineering, or sustainability environment is advantageous.
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant Honours Degree in Mechanical, Energy, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related fields (NFQ Level 7, 8, or 9).
* Ideally 2-3 years of experience in energy auditing, engineering, or sustainability consulting.
* Strong knowledge of energy calculation methodologies and performance metrics.
* Hands-on experience with ISO 50001 certification processes.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and technical report writing skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
* Full Irish Driving Licence or valid Irish driving licence.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct or participate in energy audits across various building sectors.
* Perform energy calculations and assess project feasibility.
* Coordinate site visits, manage workload, and compile information for quotations.
* Produce reports and advise clients and teams.
* Support ISO 50001 projects, including energy reviews and SEU identification.
* Analyze utility data and on-site measurements.
* Develop reports, presentations, and energy efficiency recommendations.
* Assist with grant applications and incentive programs.
* Stay informed on energy policies, regulations, and technologies.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and present energy-saving strategies.
* Contribute to decarbonization and Net Zero initiatives.
