Logistics and Planning Administrator
This is a hands-on role responsible for the administration and coordination of all sales order activity from order receipt through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Input and process all orders onto the system in an accurate manner.
* Liaise with production and supply chain personnel to ensure customers' expectations are met.
* Audit and verify customer addresses to ensure accurate deliveries.
* Update and maintain a database of accurate delivery locations.
* Optimise routes to minimise distance, time, and fuel consumption.
* Identify potential issues and risks in route planning and take preventive measures.
* Coordinate delivery schedules to avoid conflicts and delays.
Requirements:
* At least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
* Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
* Familiarity with geographical locations, road networks, and traffic patterns.
* Experience using route planning software, telemetric systems, GPS tracking, and other logistics-related technologies.
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple delivery schedules and maintain accurate records.
* A structured approach to ensure accurate data input and route planning.
* Effective communication and collaboration with drivers, dispatchers, customers, and other stakeholders.
