DescriptionAs Fund Servicing Transfer Agency Tax and Regulatory Associate, you will act as a senior member of the Tax & Regulatory Reporting team within the Transfer Agency Department whose primary responsibility will be to analyse system extracted data to collate regulatory reporting on investor holdings. Your role will include analysing investor account data against tax and regulatory reporting requirements and preparing subsequent regulatory submissions for the department, regulatory authorities and Clients. You will also be responsible for day-to-day oversight of tax and regulatory positions, Transfer Agency KPI reporting and oversight of tax account classifications. You will anticipate and identify customer needs, while also leading & driving Tax & Regulatory digital solution initiatives & enhancements.
Job responsibilities
Assists & prepares with tax and regulatory reporting to ensure reports are accurately prepared and submitted in a timely manner
Assists & provides Board Reports & Client Scorecards on behalf of TA to the Funds Board of Directors
Provides timely and accurate information to Clients and Management on tax and regulatory reporting
Keeps up to date with tax and regulatory changes and has the ability to articulate the impact to the business
Partners within the TA Operations department and across the broader teams to ensure the completion of all end-to-end processes in line with JPMorgan Risk Management policies
Engages & leads in projects within your team and the TA Ops department including, but not limited to, new tax or regulatory changes, client on-boardings, system testing, including digital solution initiatives & enhancements, etc.
Identifies and actions priority items within appropriate timeframes; escalates issues as necessary; relentlessly resolves aged items
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
Demonstrated experience in the Financial Services/Funds industry
Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel (vlookups, pivots etc.), Digital Solution tools and Outlook
Advanced excel and data analytics an advantage
Team player, professional and proactive approach to work, positive attitude, remain poised under pressure, client service focus and ability to adapt to change
Able to quickly understand technical, procedural and functional information to solve problems and deliver information to clients and investors
Ability to summarize complex topics concisely and drive practical outcomes, strong communication skills written and oral
Demonstrate a keen eye for details; look for and mitigate inherent and residual risks
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
Bachelors degree required (business discipline preferred)
Ability to make sound decisions, including escalation when appropriate, in regard of tax or regulatory risk
Gather relevant information systematically; consider a broad range of issues or factors; grasp complexities and perceives relationships among problems or issues; include others in problem‑solving efforts when appropriate
