Support the EMEA organization as a Manager, People Business Partner at GitLab.

You will help align business objectives with people solutions across the EMEA region. Your role will act as a trusted and strategic advisor, coach, and change agent to senior leadership, providing data-driven insights and expertise on people-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
* Primarily support Go-To-Market teams in EMEA, with flexibility to support other functions as needed.
* Partner with the broader People Business Partners and People Group to implement GitLab's People programs and policies locally.
* Advise on People programs and solutions tailored to EMEA regional needs based on deep local expertise.
* Collaborate with TMR and legal teams for guidance on HR compliance, employment law, and regulatory requirements in EMEA.
* Consult and inform local regulatory bodies like Work Councils on employment or working conditions topics.
* Forecast issues and course correct before impact within the client group.
* Use data to identify trends and develop solutions driving results in the organization.
* Maintain expertise in client groups' business, operating models, objectives, and industry trends.
* Partner with client group leadership and relevant People groups to drive talent strategies focused on engagement and retention of top talent.
* Provide input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
* Owning Talent Program iterations based on feedback from their client group and PBP team.
* Execute company-wide Talent Programs within client groups, including Annual Talent Assessment and Compensation Reviews.
Your Qualifications
* Progressive People Business Partner experience supporting front-line, mid-level, and executive leaders.
* Proven experience in fast-paced tech companies as a People Business Partner, focusing on EMEA region.
* Experience partnering with other People Business Partners on business strategy and consulting on local EMEA requirements.
* In-depth knowledge of EMEA employment law and regulations.
* Experience working with local regulatory bodies like Works Councils.
* HR competency areas such as organizational design, leadership development, change management, performance management, and employee relations experience.
* An obsession with impactful results; able to create and deliver full-cycle projects and results in a timely manner.
* Solving complex problems; resourceful and seeking internal and external resources when problem-solving.
* Strong Emotional Intelligence with fine-tuned instincts and problem-solving skills.
* Global Talent experience (Americas, EMEA, APAC); remote experience preferred.
* Comfortable with high volume and fast-paced workload; switching between strategic and tactical work.
* Bachelor's degree preferred; Master's degree and/or HR Certification strongly preferred.
