Overview:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales & Marketing for our prestigious 5-star hotel in Kilkenny.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated sales-driven leader to take the next step in their career within a luxury hotel environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Irish hotel market at a senior level and be passionate about driving both sales and marketing strategies to maximize revenue and brand presence.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
Create and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies to enhance the hotel's market position, revenue, and brand visibility.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with local businesses, key corporate clients, DMCs (Destination Management Companies), and tour operators to drive business to the property.
Negotiations:
Negotiate rate agreements with local clients, ensuring profitability and long-term relationships while managing group-level RFPs (Requests for Proposals).
Corporate & Group Business Development:
Actively seek and secure new corporate group business, fostering partnerships to enhance overall hotel performance.
Meeting & Events Strategy:
Develop and execute a tailored strategy for meetings and events, ensuring the property attracts a variety of events and conferences to drive additional revenue.
Online Strategy & Performance:
Oversee the performance of the hotels website, ensuring it aligns with sales goals, driving conversions through tailored packages and promotions.
Database & CRM Management:
Develop and manage the hotels customer database, leveraging it to build targeted marketing campaigns and increase repeat business.
OTA & Revenue Strategy:
Collaborate with the Cluster Revenue Manager to develop a comprehensive OTA (Online Travel Agency) strategy to optimize online distribution channels and increase booking revenue.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience at a senior level within the Irish hotel market, preferably in a sales & marketing leadership role.
A strong track record of building successful sales strategies and achieving revenue targets.
In-depth understanding of hotel sales, marketing, and distribution strategies, with a focus on both corporate and leisure markets.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to think creatively and strategically to drive results.
Previous experience in managing a hotel website and implementing effective digital marketing strategies.
Strong knowledge of CRM systems and data-driven marketing initiatives.
What We Offer:
Competitive salary of €80,000 - €90,000 per annum.
