As a senior member of our team, you will embrace responsibility and have a strong desire to take ownership of problems and support your team to be the best they can be. Day-to-day, you will:
* Develop and support our Reports Repository product for our Mosaic case management system.
* Design and maintain relational databases.
* Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity.
* Write complex queries, procedures, and triggers.
* Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
* Work in a cross-functional team in an agile methodology.
* Work with global teams across different time zones.
* Take on responsibility in the technical design approach and review the work of other team members.
* Help refine and size up stories, work, and projects.
Taking ownership of larger project pieces from design to sizing:
* Develop unit tests alongside our code and follow our quality gates and ever-improving automated scans and checks.
* Work and learn new technologies to modernize our legacy product (helping to create a new product potentially within Microsoft Fabric).
* Embrace and contribute to our automated pipelines and jobs.
* Learn about our Mosaic system and the domain of Social Care.
As a skilled Developer, your Skills and Experiences likely include:
* Expert-level knowledge of SQL for querying, optimization, and data manipulation.
* Experience with advanced SQL functions like window functions, CTEs, and dynamic SQL.
* Proficiency in database platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
* Experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex databases and schemas.
* Expertise in query optimization, indexing strategies, and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks.
* Understanding of data encryption, backup, and recovery strategies.
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for database deployment.
* Experience with version control systems like Git, Github, etc. for managing database code changes.
* Experience in agile methodology.
* Excellent communication and written skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
