Advocacy Officers x 6: Patient Advocacy Service
The Patient Advocacy Service is a national service, currently implementing a Blended Working Model trial. This allows for some remote working in addition to the possibility of office-based work.
We are seeking Advocacy Officer x 6 for Full Time (35 hours per week) positions, welcoming candidates from across all counties.
The Patient Advocacy Service provides a free, independent, and confidential service to support users of public acute hospitals and nursing homes making or intending to make a formal complaint through the relevant complaints process.
We also support users in the aftermath of a patient safety incident.
The contract for the Patient Advocacy Service was awarded to the National Advocacy Service for People with Disabilities (NAS) following a competitive tendering process.
About the Role:
Salary: €35,642 to €46,069
New entrants will be appointed on the 1st point of the scale, however incremental credit may be awarded based on previous relevant experience.
Location: The successful candidates can elect to be based at one of our current locations in Dublin, Cork or Galway.
They will be required to attend that office base one to two days per week in line with our organisational Blended Working Model.
Occasional attendance at the Patient Advocacy Service National Office in Dublin may be required.
Hours: The position is full time, 35 hours per week and may involve working some unsocial hours.
Requirements:
A full driver's licence, valid car insurance and a valid NCT certificate are essential requirements for the post.
Travel may be involved, therefore access to a car is necessary.
You will be asked to provide employer indemnity by way of a Letter of Indemnity from your motor insurance company.
Advocacy Officers will be asked to obtain Garda Clearance before they commence work with the Patient Advocacy Service.
