We are currently recruiting for a Grounds Person and Maintenance Workerto join our team in our newly refurbished service in Watermans Lodge, Ballina/Killaloe, Co. Tipperary.
We have a Permanent, Part-Time, 19.5 hours contract.
Starting Salary - €29,417 - € pro-rata - DOE Acquired Brain Injury Ireland provides community-based residential rehabilitation services to people living with brain injury in Ireland.

The ongoing development and maintenance of the environment, optimises the use and enjoyment for our clients and staff.
The Grounds and maintenance person will ensure the smooth operation & maintenance of our residential service ensuring a great looking, homely and safe environment for our staff and clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the general maintenance and repairs of the building and grounds.
Role Duties: Mowing, edging, and fertilizing lawns Conduct weeding and mulching landscape beds Weeding, power washing and maintenance of paths and courtyards Make sure hedges, shrubs, and small trees are trimmed Ensure strong and healthy trees are kept by removing dead, damaged, or unwanted trees Plant trees, flowers, and shrubs Use creative and innovative ways to resolve maintenance issues and work within the team to develop garden and house décor projects Ensure lawns, landscapes, and gardens are watered Liaising with contractors to ensure that they complete projects on time and to a high standard Electrical and Mechanical trouble-shooting Painting of interiors Conducting repairs to interior, exterior walls/gates/entrances Emptying Bins Window cleaning Floor cleaning and buffing Assisting with Car Parking for large events Please click the below link for Job Description for more detail on key duties and responsibilities Essential Criteria: Outstanding ability to perform tasks as part of a team as well as independently Grounds Worker must possess physical stamina Ability to help the Manager make the grounds and residence look better E xcellent communication skills to adequately interact with the manager and staff and persons' served Precise decision making skills Full driving licence with access to a vehicle Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to write and speak English to a high standard Desirable Criteria: Leaving Certificate Trade qualifications / experience Relevant certificate or diplomas in Grounds, Horticulture or Maintenance Training courses in Chainsaw use, Tractor Driving, First Aid etc.
