The Head of Finance is a PCF-11 role under the regulation of the Central Bank of Ireland and the individual will have primary ownership of the ICAAP process, Recovery Planning, and other analyses to support the company's financial soundness.
The Head of Finance is the chairperson of the Asset & Liability Committee and a member of the Compliance Committee and Executive Risk Committee. The role also reports to the Board and Audit Committee.
The Role:
1. Manage a small local team responsible for all the financial reporting, tax, and treasury
2. Develop, coordinate and maintain the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process, ICAAP.
3. Develop, coordinate and maintain the Recovery Plan
4. Maintain and enhance financial models to support the delivery of the ICAAP and Recovery Plan.
5. Approval and filing of all required prudential reports for a MiFID investment firm.
6. Managing and developing the recovery and resolution plans
7. Maintaining a strong understanding of existing regulations, upcoming developments & best practices, covering all aspects of a registered investment firm.
8. Planning, coordinating and managing the statutory audit.
9. Advise the CEO on the financial performance, identification, and management of financial risks.
The Person:
10. Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA accountant etc
11. 10+ years experience in a Senior Finance role.
12. Head of Finance in the role of PCF-11 at a CBI-registered investment firm or similar entity is a distinct advantage
13. Extensive experience at a MiFID investment firm in a regulatory finance role
14. Knowledge of the operations of equities and exchange-traded derivatives.
15. Sound knowledge of treasury operations and experience working with external banking partners.
16. Knowledge of cash investments and Money Market Funds is desirable.
17. Experience in managing tax compliance within Ireland.
