Role Overview
The Finance team handles a broad range of functions, including management accounting, corporate reporting, data analysis, variance tracking, ERP system management, and core financial operations like accounts payable, invoicing, cash collection, and banking activities.
The newly created Management Accountant position is designed to provide critical support to the Financial Controller and Finance Director. The role is key to enabling accurate financial planning, decision-making, and effective control while elevating the financial expertise within the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
* Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
* Ideally, two years of post-qualification experience.
* Background in manufacturing is advantageous, though curiosity about the industry is welcomed.
* Familiarity with ERP platforms (SAP experience preferred).
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Core Responsibilities
Cost Analysis
* Conduct cost and material cost evaluations, understanding drivers, allocation methodologies, and controls to improve financial efficiency.
* Oversee cost monitoring and reporting processes.
Financial Recordkeeping
* Ensure precise recording of financial data to support comprehensive insights into business performance, cash flow, and financial position.
Project Involvement
* Collaborate on transformative business initiatives and process improvement projects aimed at enhancing profitability and strategic decision-making.
* Engage with cross-functional teams across a multicultural environment.
Management Reporting
* Prepare management reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow analyses, and key performance metrics to provide a full picture of financial health.
Reconciliation Processes
* Conduct reconciliations, such as sales, margins, and balance sheets, ensuring accuracy and alignment across internal and external data sources.
Audit Participation
* Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and data accuracy to provide transparency to stakeholders.
Forecasting and Strategy
* Deliver detailed forecasting that incorporates both quantitative data and qualitative insights.
* Play a role in shaping, implementing, and evaluating financial strategies to support sound decision-making.
