Job Summary
The Senior TechOps Engineer will play a key role in managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure of a leading Dublin-based client. This involves ensuring high levels of system availability, performance, and security are maintained across multiple platforms.
* Manage and support on-premises and cloud-based systems
* Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software, including servers, storage, and networking components
* Ensure the stability, security, and performance of IT infrastructure
* Monitor systems' health, performance, and capacity
* Identify and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and optimal performance
* Implement and maintain security policies and procedures to protect systems and data
* Remediate vulnerabilities, ensuring systems are compliant with best practices and relevant regulations
* Manage backup strategies and disaster recovery plans
* Develop scripts and automation processes for system administration tasks using PowerShell
* 5+ years experience as a Senior Systems Administrator or similar role
* In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
* Experience with networking and diagnosing issues relating to (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.)
* Hands-on experience scripting using PowerShell
* Familiarity with monitoring tools (SCOM, Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Azure Monitor)
* Microsoft Server and/or Azure Certification would be an advantage
