Post Summary:
Trinity College Dublin is seeking to appoint an experienced Media and Communications Manager to cover maternity leave. As part of the Department of Sport senior management team, this role will have primary responsibility for ensuring that the strategic objectives linked specifically to profile, performance, and participation are realized by portraying a regular, consistent, and positive message to the targeted audiences of Trinity Sport.
This important position will underpin the relationship with current and potential students of the University and stakeholders involved in sport, along with managing press and media relationships internally and externally. Trinity College Dublin is home to some of the oldest sports clubs in the world and has a vast array of sporting activities and programs that reach national and international audiences. The current strategy for sport aims to establish broader engagement with a greatly enhanced identity and profile among internal and external stakeholders and communities, with focused and professionalized streamlined content shared via various media and communication channels.
Post status: Specific Purpose Contract.
The specific purpose of this role is to fill an Administrative 2 vacancy on a temporary basis pending the return of the postholder from maternity leave.
Hours of Post: 35 hours per week
Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 2 Salary Scale (€57,270 - €67,293 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
