The Opportunity:
We're kicking off 2025 with the introduction of an exciting new role: Business Development Manager, U.S. Market
This awesome individual will be tasked with the mandate to lead our agency's first ever strategic expansion into the U.S.
market.
Pivotal in identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities to drive revenue, this role will grow our client portfolio in the lifestyle industry, and position Sundae Creative as a top-tier PR player in the U.S.
Our ideal candidate is a natural networker with a strong pulse on trends and the right connections, a strategic thinker who shares our vision, and someone passionate about PR, influencer marketing, digital strategies, and social media.
This person likes to work independently, and thrives on delivering performance and tangible results.
Responsibilities:
Spearhead Sundae Creative's strategic expansion into the US market, identifying and capitalizing on key business opportunities.
Work to achieve annual sales targets by tracking and reporting against KPIs on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Identify and develop new business opportunities across the US through proactive lead generation.
Cultivate and nurture relationships with US-based clients, securing opportunities for networking and IRL meetings for stakeholders or yourself.
Proactively engage and participate in regular IRL meetings with clients, including after-hours engagements as needed.
Lead market research and competitive analysis to inform growth strategies, leveraging insights and emerging tools to position Sundae Creative as a market leader.
Prepare compelling proposals, quotes, and strategic presentations for RFPs and new business pitches.
Be a visible leader and strategic voice in new business pitches and RFI/RFP presentations.
Identify and prioritize opportunities for new services, tools, or revenue streams by leveraging market insights and trends.
Qualifications:
6+ years of progressive leadership experience in the PR agency world, with a proven track record of driving new business growth.
Alternatively, you've gained substantial expertise through consulting for PR agencies, giving you unparalleled insight into the industry's inner workings.
Proven track record of delivering sales growth and top-quality client service.
Experience working with global CPG, wellness, food & beverage, fashion, and lifestyle brands is a must.
Solid understanding of PR, Influencer Marketing, Social Media, Viral Marketing, and Events to drive awareness and conversion.
Strong grasp of agency performance benchmarks and best practices, with the ability to use data and market analysis to drive sustained growth.
Financial acuity and ability to manage budgets and forecasts.
You're goal-driven, self-motivated, and thrive in high pressure environments.
A strategic thinker with sharp judgment, always setting realistic expectations and ensuring flawless execution.
Skilled at building meaningful relationships, fostering trust, and going the extra mile to energize connections with clients and stakeholders.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for creating compelling presentations.
A sense of judgment to set realistic expectations in the face of client demands.
