Executive Head Chef
We are seeking an experienced Executive Head Chef to manage the smooth and efficient running of our kitchen. As a key member of our team, you will oversee and direct staff under your supervision to deliver high standards of customer care.
About the Role
* Manage all aspects of the kitchen, including operational, quality, and administrative functions.
* Ensure adequate resources are available according to business needs.
* Manage the provision of food to F&B outlets and ensure compliance with current legislation.
* Control costs without compromising standards and improve gross profit margins.
* Maintain good communication and work relationships in all areas.
* Ensure that staffing levels are maintained to cover business demands.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage financial performance of the department to align with hotel objectives.
2. Implement food control systems to maintain target margins.
3. Regularly review menus with the F&B manager to confirm offerings are in line with market trends.
4. Ensure adherence to food wastage programs to maintain target margins.
5. Responsible for ensuring that monthly working schedules are made and maintained in accordance with local legislation.
Requirements
* A minimum of 2-3 years' experience at Head Chef level in a 5* or high-end property.
* Highly motivated and energetic individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with large volumes.
* Proven track record in meeting targets and deadlines.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Strong Financials skills required.
* Supervisory Skills qualification.
* Health & Safety qualification (First Aid, Manual Handling Instruction, Risk Assessor etc.).
