Head of Finance Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join our team in Dublin. This is a permanent, full-time role that will play a critical part in the development of our financial management system.
About the Role
The successful candidate will lead the Finance team, responsible for ensuring key functions are operating efficiently and effectively. You will engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners.
Accountabilities
* Contribute to the Executive Management Team in relation to strategy and day-to-day operations.
* Lead, mentor, and manage the Finance team to achieve performance targets and professional development.
* Articulate a vision to colleagues, external stakeholders, and the Board of the medium and long-term plans for the function.
* Buiding enhanced relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
* Recruitment and development of team members to achieve high performance that supports the execution of growth strategy.
* Align each team's goals with objectives and strategic priorities.
Financial Responsibilities
* Drive a strong financial control culture and ensure a robust accounting framework across end-to-end financial processes.
* Oversee the production of accurate financial and budgeting reports, such as annual/interim financial statements, monthly finance reports, budgets, and forecasting.
* Provide comprehensive and understandable information to the Senior Leadership Team and Board.
* Lead the Treasury management policies and operations, including ensuring appropriate funding lines are in place to support strategic objectives.
* Ensure there are robust policies, procedures, and controls in place to manage financial activities.
Experience and Qualifications
* A qualified accountant with a high level of numeracy, financial acumen, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
* Minimum of 15 years' experience working in a relevant role in Finance.
* Experience of having worked in a similar Finance role.
Key Skills
* Strong understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
* An ability to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including implementing internal controls.
* Excellent report writing, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate and influence internal and external stakeholders at a senior level.
* Effective planning skills, with a proven ability to prioritise work to achieve objectives within strict timescales.
