At EdgeTier, we are at the forefront of innovation in customer engagement solutions, and we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our growing team.What you'll be doing:Lead data science projects from inception to completionWork with our product and customer success teams to identify problem areas for our customers and hack around with the latest open-source models to find solutions to these problems.Develop and maintain scalable microservices to run any models developed.Identify weaknesses or potential areas for improvement in our current model setup and implement research/implement any improvementsDevelop and maintain processes to monitor model performanceInterpret and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Utilise data to tell a story and educate customersMentor and coach team members on the latest technologies and industry trends, to ensure optimal delivery outputs and user experience.You would be a great fit for this role if you have:Proven experience (2+ years) in Data Science & ML Engineering in industryA strong background (2+ years) in the area of Natural Language ProcessingA passion for building best-in-class products which drives data-driven decision-making.Experience building microservices in using frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, Django, etc.Some prior experience deploying large language model solutions in productionWorked with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or AzureA background in research (Masters or PhD)Comfortable working with and querying large databasesExcellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in effectively conveying technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and problem-solving.It would be useful, but not essential if you also have:Experience working with vector databasesPrior experience in the customer service industryExperience in agile software development methodologiesEdgeTier Company ValuesAt EdgeTier, we’re passionate about building a team of high performers who believe in our mission.
