POSITION OVERVIEW
* Responsible for the planning and delivery of the academic programme of EFL students
* Represent MLA values
* Reports to Director of Studies/Assistant Director of Studies
* 6 days per week (Monday to Saturday)
* Residential employment available from late June – mid-August
Teachers will deliver high-quality and communicative EFL Task Based lessons as part of a teaching team. Working hours are variable and will be organised according to a rota in the centre. You will not be required to go on excursions, activities or any pastoral care outside your teaching and admin hours on teaching days.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential
* Must have an EU passport/right to work in Ireland, and a valid Criminal Record Check from your country of residence
* Proven suitability to work with students under 18: at least 2 references.
* CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL qualification, or a PGCE/QTS award related to YL/ESOL/English/Languages (or equivalent Ofqual recognised standards)
* Other TEFL Level 5 certificates or TEFL certificates + proven observed experience considered
* A Level 6 degree or equivalent qualifications/experience
* AccessTEFL in progress (portfolio)
* Experience of Teaching EFL Classes (including teaching practice)
Desirable
* DELTA / Trinity DipTESOL / MA TESOL completed or in progress
* Master’s Degree in ELT/TESOL (or related subjects)
* EFL experience teaching teenagers
* EFL Summer School Teaching experience in Ireland or the UK
* First Aid Qualification
COMPENSATION
Non-Residential staff can earn up to EUR 716 net per week. Hourly rate EUR 15 to EUR 17 plus 15% to 17% to cover administrative duties based on qualifications and experience.

* Provide courses that will support and enable the students to realise their potential and achieve their academic targets
* Comply with management requests to follow the guidelines of external organisations in a timely and accurate manner
* Be dressed in a presentable professional way
* Start on time, if this is not possible you must inform your manager as early as possible
* Develop a good rapport with the students and Group Leaders
* Follow the code of conduct specifically detailed in your Handbook.
