The Stock Auditor will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory
records within the organization. This position is responsible for performing detailed audits
and stock counts across multiple locations, including warehouses, retail stores, and
distribution centers.
The Stock Auditor ensures that all inventory levels are accurately
recorded, investigates any discrepancies, and provides recommendations to improve stock
management processes. This role is essential in supporting loss prevention efforts and
ensuring operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform regular and ad-hoc stock counts to ensure accurate inventory levels across various locations.
* Cross-check physical inventory against system records, identifying variances and reporting discrepancies promptly to management.
* Investigate causes of stock discrepancies, working closely with relevant teams to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
* Monitor stock movements including goods received, transfers, returns, and sales to maintain real-time stock accuracy.
* Support the development and implementation of stock control measures and loss
* prevention strategies to minimize stock loss and shrinkage.
* Prepare detailed audit reports, outlining findings, trends, and recommendations for continuous improvement in stock accuracy.
* Ensure all inventory auditing activities comply with company policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
* Collaborate effectively with warehouse, logistics, procurement, and finance teams to
* ensure stock integrity and resolve stock-related issues.
* Assist in planning and executing year-end stock takes and contribute to the preparation of financial inventory reports.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data handling and reporting.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced in using inventory management systems or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with cross-functional teams.
* Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and meeting
* deadlines.
* Previous experience in stock auditing, inventory management, or stock control is highly desirable.
* Good understanding of warehouse operations, supply chain processes, and stock management principles is advantageous.
