Responsibilities
Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards
6. Promote and implement best practices in coordination with the SHQE department.
7. Actively address unsafe conditions and policy noncompliance.
Setting-Out and Technical Management
8. Ensure accurate and consistent application of setting-out methods using total stations and other surveying equipment.
9. Confirm that drawings and specifications are complete and precise, promptly addressing any missing information to avoid delays.
Quality Assurance
10. Perform quality checks in alignment with company and project standards.
11. Ensure that inspection and test plans are completed as per PMP and specifications, verifying dimensional accuracy and quality compliance.
Team Coordination and Development
12. Communicate effectively with foremen and supervisors to ensure project clarity.
13. Provide guidance and mentorship to assistant, graduate, and junior engineers.
14. Take an active role in identifying, coaching, and developing key team members.
Collaboration and Documentation
15. Assist in drafting risk assessments and method statements for controlled work processes.
16. Maintain effective communication with the commercial team regarding potential contractual or commercial impacts.
17. Collaborate on material and equipment requisitioning.
Temporary Works and Client Engagement

Requirements
20. Experience: Minimum of 2 years on civil engineering projects, with groundworks experience essential .
21. Technical Skills: Proficiency in setting-out equipment (e.g., total stations).Skilled in the latest surveying and CAD techniques.Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
22. Knowledge: Familiarity with the commercial aspects of large-scale construction projects.Up-to-date understanding of civil engineering practices, health and safety standards, and environmental legislation.
