Dublin City Center (Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite)
We have a vacancy for a PLSQL Software Engineer to work within a multi-disciplined team of 40 software developers. We are looking for a talented individual who can quickly become productive within our highly complex technical environment.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience developing PLSQL solutions with a track record of high quality delivery, combined with a keen appetite for all aspects of software development.
The role covers all stages of the software development lifecycle from new applications development to system enhancement, maintenance, and support. Depending on the particular project, development tasks will have a mixture of business and technical deliverables. We also currently have a strong agenda for latest technical innovation (e.g. AI/robotics) and Cyber Security protection for our systems with associated project content.
All development will require a high degree of co-operation with other team areas within the IT unit. In particular, the individual will work closely with senior software developers and architects to ensure compliance with standards & conventions, and cooperate with business analysts to understand the business requirements for systems being delivered.
Suitable candidates will have:
1. 5+ years PLSQL programming experience
2. Sound knowledge of software engineering principles and theory
Supporting Tech Skills (Desirable):
1. Experience using IDE such as SQL Developer, TOAD, SVN source code control
Other Skills/Knowledge of Interest:
1. Analysis Skills
2. JAVA 8 and JAVA 6
3. Design Patterns
4. REST web services
5. Maven, Ant, Subversion, JIRA
6. JMeter and Jetty
