Meetings and Events Sales Executive
We are currently recruiting a Meetings and Events Sales Executive for our 4-star hotel in Cork City.
Scope of Position:
The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the hotel Sales and Marketing Director to maximise the sales potential of food & beverage, wedding/events, and conference/meeting segments.
Main Responsibilities:
* To be proactive and energetic, with a proven track record in achieving sales targets and executing a focused sales plan for agreed market segments.
* To maximise revenue through selling events/conference rooms while maintaining turnover.
* To monitor and chase provisional status bookings, ensuring contracts are signed and returned within a reasonable timeframe.
* To meet clients on arrival and handover to the Operations team.
* To accurately post charges on accounts during the working week.
* To monitor payments, billing, and pre-payments.
* To share feedback from weddings/conferences/dining events with the hotel management team.
* To attend exhibitions, corporate events, consumer shows, and client meetings as requested.
* To input into F&B and Meetings budget and identify key competitors for regular competitive analysis.
* To monitor competitors' performance, rates, and sales activity for food & beverage and meeting rooms.
* To input into quarterly activity plans to create focus and adapt activity to support business needs.
* To conduct weekly promotional activity to businesses in the locality to promote dining, meetings & events.
* To assist with all F&B and M&E advertising for the hotel.
* To assist with all F&B and M&E print material adhering to brand guidelines.
* To assist with the monthly social media plan and post each week, keeping updates on likes/fans for Food & Beverage and Meeting Rooms.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should possess sales and marketing standards and service, guest relations experience, and have worked with budgets for corporate clients.
