Eir evo talent are currently seeking applicants for a Intellectual Property (IP) Operations Assistant.
This is a Contract Role and the client is located in Dublin onsite 5 days a week.
Duration of contract: 6 months with probable extensions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintaining an organized database of IP-related records;
2. Assisting with process improvement initiatives and projects coordination;
3. Assisting in designing, documenting and maintaining IP processes;
4. Assisting in identifying and addressing potential risks and bottlenecks in the IP processes to sustain consistency and accuracy;
5. Assisting in establishing standards and procedures to ensure the team operates in a consistent manner;
6. Assisting in compiling and manipulating data to identify trends, patterns and insights;
7. Assisting in generating IP matters dashboards and reports to communicate insights to support data-driven strategic decisions;
8. Assisting in-house IP attorneys with patents and trademark matters;
9. Managing the patent and trademark prosecution workflow between the engineering organization, in-house IP attorneys, and outside counsel;
10. Opportunities to expand responsibilities to other areas of the IP function and develop related skill sets.
Well-qualified candidates will possess the following attributes and experience:
1. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills such as business analyst and/or project management, legal operations support roles;
2. Attention to detail and self-starting desire to take ownership of core duties and responsibilities;
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
4. Willingness and curiosity to learn about Intellectual Property;
5. Excellent organization skills, a professional work ethic and a team attitude;
6. Knowledge of business process and operations management;
7. Database and information management skills such as librarian roles; Knowledge of SharePoint features;
8. Be comfortable working in an international environment supporting daily IP efforts and working with cross-functional and cross-regional teams;
9. Effective communication skills and be fluent in written and spoken English. Additional language skills such as German, French or Mandarin are not required but are a plus;
10. Experience working with Salesforce-based administrative tools is a plus;
11. Experience working with business process modeling tools such as Microsoft Visio and Bizagi is a plus;
12. Familiarity with data analytics and automation tools is a plus, experience working with same is a big plus;
13. Experience at either a law firm or corporate IP department as an intellectual property administrative assistant (or with similar responsibilities) is a plus.
