Project Coordinator (Research Officer)
Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Coordinator (Research Officer) to join our team at Technological University Dublin. This is a specified purpose contract with an initial funding period of 21 months.
Main Responsibilities:
* To coordinate and manage research projects, focusing on digital literacy for older people.
* To work closely with the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
* To develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations and other relevant groups.
* To manage project budgets and ensure effective resource allocation.
* To coordinate events, workshops, and training sessions related to digital literacy for older people.
Requirements:
* A third-level degree (level 8) in Social Sciences or an equivalent field, with at least two years of postgraduate experience.
* Proven success in research project development, management, and coordination.
* Experience in project management, administration, and communication.
* Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience in managing project budgets.
* Evidence of participatory research and evaluation.
* Digital skills and literacy education programs.
* Experience working with older people and health and wellbeing.
* Grant applications for research-related projects.
Salary:
The successful candidate will be appointed at salary scale aligned to point (01) of the Post-Doctoral Researcher Salary Scale, which is €47,412 gross per annum. Remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy, and incremental credit may apply in line with University policy.
Location:
The post will be based at one of the TU Dublin Campuses: Grangegorman (Parkhouse), Blanchardstown, or Tallaght.
Hours of Work:
A 37-hour working week is in operation.
