Environmental Specialist / Donegal
We are seeking an Environmental Specialist to join our global team.
The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for day-to-day management of all environmental compliance within our sites.
Salary:
$60,000 - $80,000 per year (dependent on experience)
The Role
Main Responsibilities:
* Establish and maintain a working environment that encourages employees to participate in continuous improvement processes
* Manage site IPC Licence and oversee new licence applications/technical amendments as required
* Coordinate and complete environmental tasks to ensure regulatory compliance with IPC Licence, including VOC Abatement monitoring & reporting, Storm Water sampling & monitoring, Waste Management Streams monitoring, and provision of reports to the EPA
* Ongoing enhancement and maintenance of EMS Programmes, in line with licence and Corporate EHS requirements
* Liaising with cross functional teams to maintain environmental compliance with monitoring and management programmes
Requirements:
* Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Environmental Discipline is preferred, but depending on experience may not be required
* Strong post graduate industry experience in a similar role (licenced environment) but would consider other experience
* Experience of communicating with the EPA and other regulatory bodies (County Council, Inland Fisheries Ireland etc)
* Working knowledge of EDEN portal required
* MS Office Suite proficiency
Desirable Skills:
* Experience of Environmental Licensing maintenance and applications
* Experience of Abatement systems and technology
* Implementing & maintaining ISO & ISO 5001:2018
* Co-operative Teamwork and ability to engage with employees, CEHS, External Stakeholders at all levels
