My client is looking to hire an Accounts Assistant. This is an exciting role with a company based in North Cork who manufacture and distribute materials globally. The role will be on a permanent basis.
Duties & Responsibilities
·Scrutinise creditor invoice/credit notes, expense claims and credit card content, once duly authorised process invoice to the software system in accordance with BMS procedures
·Perform regular creditors reconciliations, detailed age analysis to supplier statement
·Applying cut off audit assertion, prepare ‘Open PO’ report and review with the logistics team, updating shipment status
·Applying completeness audit assertion, prepare ‘Open GRN’ report and review with the logistics team, updating shipment status
·Allocate supplier payments to the creditors account
·Manage supplier/service provider relationships through effective communication internally and externally to resolve any queries
·Prepare and set up electronic transfers and payments on group company banking system
·Applying completeness audit assertion, perform daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations, detailed bank movement to bank statement
·Applying accuracy audit assertion, ensure bank reconciliations are revalued to group company book currency
·Allocate customer electronic payments on the group company software system in accordance with BMS procedures
·Applying completeness, cut off and occurrence audit assertions, review stock adjustment requests, prepare the necessary supporting documentation, calculate the weighted average cost, actual cost or standard cost of the stock item as appropriate and posting the transaction to the system
·Applying completeness audit assertion, perform regular stock reconciliations, floor to sheet and sheet to floor
·Applying completeness and accuracy audit assertions, review supply chain situation to ensure inventory asset and supply chain liabilities are accurate
·Verifying the accuracy of the balance sheet through reconciling detailed transaction listing to the trial balance
Skills & Qualifications:
·Qualification relevant to position
·Logistics accounting experience preferable
·Computer literate and an intermediate user of MS Office suite: Excel, Share Point, Word and Outlook
·Ability to work with and support a team.
·Good communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to listen.
