We are hiring Suitably qualified people for the position of Basic Grade Dietitian into a Private Hospital in Tralee, Ireland.
Part Time – Specified Purpose Post 28 hours per week plus hours as required Key Responsibilities Responsible for helping to organise and provide Nutrition and Dietetic Services at the hospital's outpatient, inpatient, and day care levels.
Communicate with medical, nursing, and other clinical and non-clinical personnel about patients in her care, thereby promoting and developing a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
Maintain accurate and adequate records as outlined in the department's policy and procedure requirements.
Dietetic statistics are updated daily.
Attend weekly sessions that involve both the oncology and discharge planning MDT.
Communicate with catering personnel about the provision of therapeutic diets.
Provide nutrition instruction to hospital staff if asked by the Head of Department.
Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and processes for providing Nutrition and Dietetic Services.
Requirements Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Human Nutrition & Dietetics, University of Dublin, Trinity College Dublin & the Dublin Institute of Technology or (ii) Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition & Dietetics with honours classification from the University of Dublin, Trinity College Dublin, and a Graduate Diploma in Human Nutrition & Dietetics from the Dublin Institute of Technology or (iii) Possess a qualification in Dietetics at least equivalent to (i) or (ii).
